A Polish 'experienced retail client' account is a specialised category of retail client introduced by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) for traders in Poland. It is designed to cater to experienced retail traders who meet certain criteria regarding both trading experience and knowledge of financial markets.

Experienced retail clients have access to increased leverage compared to standard retail clients, allowing traders to potentially amplify their trading positions. However, it's important to note that with higher leverage comes increased risk, and traders should fully understand the implications before applying for this account type.
Experienced retail client trading conditions:
Maximum leverage of 1:100 for currency pairs, indices and commodities
Margin close-out rule: 50% of the required margin
Negative balance protection
Continued eligibility to the Investor Compensation Fund
Continued access to the Financial Ombudsman Service
Continued segregation of client funds
Required experience
Traders must have met at least one of the following in the past four quarters:
- 10 trades over 50k EUR per quarter (2m EUR total nominal value) OR
- 50 trades over 10k EUR per quarter (2m EUR total nominal value) OR
- 40 trades per quarter (2m EUR total nominal value)
Knowledge of derivatives
Traders must have at least one of the following:
- Relevant work experience OR
- A certificate of training in derivatives, including CFDs
