Overview

AI Search is an intelligent search feature built into the Capital.com platform (available on iOS, Android, and Web versions). It uses generative Artificial Intelligence to help you quickly find information about financial instruments, platform features, and to answer common questions.

AI Search is designed to save you time: instead of browsing through menus or FAQ articles, you can simply ask a question in your own words. For example, you can ask “Where can I find statements & reports?” or “What are CFDs?” and get an immediate response.

What can you search for with AI Search feature?

AI Search is designed to assist with a range of topics related to our services and the markets.

Search for instruments: find details about trading instruments (stocks, commodities, etc.) by name or ticker. For instance, you can ask “Apple stocks” or “largest technology stocks by revenue”. AI Search will provide relevant facts, figures or descriptions, based on market data.

(Note: always double-check live prices on the platform, as AI responses may not reflect minute-by-minute changes.)

Get market insights: AI search may provide trending data, news highlights and other useful information for traders.

Navigate the platform and settings: ask how to use Capital.com’s features or where to find things in the app. For example, “How do I deposit funds into my account?” or “Where can I find my transaction history?” AI Search will give you step-by-step guidance and, when applicable, a direct link to the relevant page, making it easier to jump straight to the screen you need.

Answer FAQs and support questions: AI Search is integrated with our help centre knowledge base. This means it can answer many common questions about our products, services, and policies. If you have a question like “Which payment methods are accepted?” or “How to withdraw funds?”, AI Search will provide the relevant information from our FAQ resources, along with provide a concise answer and a link to further details.

Important: AI Search will not provide financial advice or opinions on what you should trade. For example, it won’t answer questions like “Should I buy Stock XYZ now?” or make predictions about future prices. Its role is to inform you of facts and help with platform usage, not to give investment recommendations.

How to access AI Search feature

Using AI Search is simple and intuitive. Here’s how you can start using it:

Open the AI search field: log in to your account on web or mobile. Find the AI Search input field, then tap or click on it to begin:

  • iOS & Android: at the top of the screen;
  • Web version: in the top-right corner.

Pick a suggestion or type your question: you may see recent searches, most-traded instruments on the Capital.com platform and other suggestions. Select one or enter a new query and click the “Ask AI” button.

View the AI response: you’ll see a brief explanation or summary. Where helpful, the answer includes buttons or links to open the relevant page.

Follow links or ask something new: click through for details or enter a new query in the same field. Each new query starts a fresh search.

Close or clear: simply press the close “X” at the top-right corner to exit AI Search. Reopen it anytime.

Tip: Keep your queries straightforward for the best results. If AI Search doesn’t understand your question at first, try rephrasing it. For example, instead of “account verification issues,” ask “How do I verify my account?” in a full sentence. The clearer your question, the better the answer tends to be.

Important information and limitations

While AI Search is a powerful tool, it’s crucial to understand its limitations. Always use the answers as a starting point or guidance, not as absolute truth. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

Not professional advice: Responses from AI Search are for informational purposes only – they are not investment advice or financial recommendations. The AI doesn’t know your personal financial situation or goals, and it cannot provide investment recommendations or financial advice (per our usage policy). You should not make trading decisions solely based on an AI answer. Always do your own research or consult a qualified advisor if you need advice.

Accuracy and currency of information: The AI strives to provide correct, up-to-date information by drawing from reliable Capital.com sources. However, like any AI system, it can sometimes be wrong or provide incomplete information. There may be instances where the answer is outdated or lacks context. Always double-check critical information (such as prices, regulations, or deadlines) against official sources. If something looks off or unclear in an AI response, cross-verify it with the actual platform data or our official FAQ pages.

No guarantees and user responsibility: our team works hard to ensure AI Search is helpful and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will be 100% correct every time. The AI may occasionally misinterpret your question or the content it finds. Use your judgment: if an answer doesn’t seem right or relevant, try asking in a different way or use the traditional search/menus.

Compliance and appropriate use: AI Search will not engage in certain topics. It won’t generate content that violates our policies (for example, it will refuse inappropriate or prohibited queries). Keep your questions related to trading, investing, or using the Capital.com platform. If you ask about topics outside our scope (like personal medical advice, unrelated general knowledge, etc.), the assistant may politely decline or give a generic answer. Remember that you’re interacting with an automated system, not a human – please don’t share sensitive personal data or passwords via AI Search.

No financial, legal, or tax queries: as noted, the assistant won’t provide personal financial planning advice, legal interpretations, or tax guidance. Those types of questions are beyond its scope. It’s focused on the company mission – to help traders make better decisions.

In summary, AI Search is a helpful aid, but not infallible. Be cautious and double-check important info.

Ongoing improvements and feedback

We welcome your feedback. Please use the Like and Dislike buttons at the bottom of each answer – this helps us detect incorrect or unhelpful answer patterns. Your input helps us improve AI Search for everyone.

Please remember that AI Search is a new feature, and we are continually working to make it better. You can expect regular updates as we refine the AI’s accuracy and expand its knowledge base. We’ll add more functionality and content to the assistant so it becomes even more useful over time.
