Dividends are paid at the company's discretion — not every stock pays one. When received, dividends are distributed to your account, though settlement may be delayed by intermediary processing. You will be notified of relevant events.
Withholding tax may be deducted from your dividend, depending on the company's country of incorporation. Tax may be withheld at source or by Capital.com. Capital.com does not provide a tax reclaim service.
Some dividend reinvestment behaviours (such as minimum trade requirements) are still subject to final confirmation.
Example
Dividend on a US stock
A US company you hold pays a dividend. Withholding tax is applied based on your tax status. The net dividend is credited to your account; if it requires currency conversion, the 0.4% FX markup applies. Capital.com does not reclaim tax on your behalf.
