Can I vote at shareholder meetings?

Voting may be available for certain eligible securities where supported through our custody chain and third-party voting providers.

Where voting is available, we will communicate the relevant information and deadlines. Voting instructions must be submitted before the applicable cut-off time.

Which stocks are eligible for voting?

Voting availability depends on the issuer, market, custody chain and operational support available for the event.

Not all stocks held through the platform will be eligible for voting services.

How are voting instructions processed?

Voting instructions are transmitted through a chain of intermediaries before reaching the issuer.

The successful transmission of voting instructions depends on information received through the custody chain and the operational support available for the event.

Will my vote always be counted?

We use reasonable efforts to facilitate the transmission of valid voting instructions where voting is supported.

However, the processing and counting of votes ultimately depends on issuers, custodians, intermediaries and market infrastructure outside our direct control.

Why is the voting deadline earlier than the issuer deadline?

Voting instructions must pass through multiple intermediaries before reaching the issuer.

For this reason, Capital.com may apply internal deadlines that are earlier than the issuer’s published deadline to allow sufficient time for processing and transmission.

Can I attend shareholder meetings?

We may notify you of eligible shareholder meetings where information is received through our custody chain in sufficient time to do so.

However, we do not guarantee the ability to attend meetings and may not be able to facilitate participation beyond the services operationally supported through our custody arrangements.

Does Capital.com provide voting recommendations?

No. Capital.com does not provide voting advice, voting recommendations or guidance on how you should vote.

Any voting decision remains entirely your responsibility.

Can shareholder information be disclosed to issuers?

Where required by applicable law, shareholder information may be disclosed through the custody chain in response to valid shareholder identification or disclosure requests received from issuers or their authorised representatives.
