Here’s how to start trading knock-outs with us.

  1. Open an account

If you don’t have one already, create an account.

  1. Activate knock-outs

Once you’re set up, tap the ‘Discover knock-outs’ banner on the homepage of the app and follow the instructions. You’ll have to answer a few questions to determine whether knock-outs are appropriate for you.

  1. Watch our in-app tutorial

Tap the ‘Intro to knock-outs’ banner for a quick tutorial on how to use them.

  1. Answer the questions

You’ll have to answer three questions about knock-outs to test your knowledge.

  1. Choose your market

Congratulations! You’ve activated knock-outs. Use the suggestions in ‘Home’, or search for the market you want by tapping ‘Search’. Once you’ve found your market, tap on it to open a deal ticket.

  1. Choose your direction

Think the market’s going to go up? Tap ‘Call’. Think it’s going to go down? Tap ‘Put’. It’s that simple.

  1. Choose your trade size

Enter the amount you want to risk, or the number of options you want to buy.

  1. Choose your knock-out level

Move your knock-out level closer to the opening price, and the trade will become cheaper to open – so you’ll have the same upside exposure for less monetary risk. However, your risk of being knocked out will go up.

Move your knock-out level further away, and your initial spend will be higher. However, you’re less likely to be knocked out.

  1. Choose a stop-loss and take-profit.

If you like, you can swipe to choose a non-guaranteed stop-loss or take-profit target.

These will close your trade automatically at the levels you specify, to protect against risk or lock in profits.

However, they are subject to slippage. Your knock-out level, on the other hand, is always guaranteed.

  1. Check your order details

Tap the ‘i’ icon to get a complete overview of your trade, including:

  • How much you’re risking
  • Your trade’s full exposure
  • Your knock-out fee
  • Overnight funding adjustments
  1. Tap ‘Call’ or ‘Put’

That’s it! Well done – you’ve just placed your first knock-out option.

Knock-out options are available only for selected countries.
