What is the KO fee?

The KO fee (knock-out commission) is a fee reserved from your account when you open a knock-out trade. It is not always charged.

The amount is:

  • Temporarily held when the trade is opened
  • Charged only if the trade is closed by the knock-out level
  • Fully returned if the trade is closed manually or via take profit or stop loss

When is the KO fee actually charged?

The KO fee is charged only if the knock-out level is triggered. This reflects the additional cost of providing guaranteed protection at the knock-out price. If the trade closes for any other reason, the fee is fully refunded.

How is the KO fee calculated?

The KO fee is calculated as a percentage of the trade’s notional value. The exact amount is shown in the trade ticket before you place the trade.
